I was in a car accident in december. I went to a pain clinic. I was diagnosed with sprains on both sides of my back and my lumbar region and was prescribed pain pills and physical therapy. i did not go back and pain has gotten worse. It hurts when I move and if I bend down and if I am too active that day it will hurt all the way down my leg. i feel misdiagnosed. please guide

Obese, non-diabetic, non-hypertensive, presented with generalized body swelling, worse dry cough and abdomen ache on coughing. & fever sometimes. She is on Thyroxine (3 tablets daily) for past 6 years. Chest x-ray is clear. TFT in range viral markers non-reactive Ultrasound unremarkable except fatty liver. What should be the next step in management?

A few months ago, I had pain in my left side chest. I consulted a cardiologist just in case it was the heart problem. All the tests, including CT, treadmill, echo, 24-hours Holter returned negative. I was informed that it was likely being sports injury, possibly from chest exercises at the gym and nothing to worry about. This pain has been a kind of on and off and I wonder if there is any way to help my muscle to heal. Should I have this seen by a specialist?

My father suffers from backache and has pain in his right leg last since 2 months now. We got his MR Lumbosacral spine done and it was found that he has muscle spasm and multilevel disc degeneration. Now, they have suggested surgery but it is too risky? What should we do? Should we go for surgery or is there any more option related to this issue without surgery?

I took nsaids for arthritis pain until I had hip replacements. Eventually I developed bleeding from my gastrointestinal tract (never found the source despite several endoscopies and colonoscopies); I had to have transfusions of 4 units. I was told to never take NSAIDS again I used Tylenol off and on for normal pain. Recently I damaged the pitiformis muscle in my hip and Tylenol doesn't help at all.What should i do now? Help please

I had 2 shoulder surgeries in last year. I still have pain when rotating arm up and outwards. MRI shows increased signal involving the supraspinatus tendon and infraspinatus tendon with focal signal abnormality of the distal,conjoined tendon suggesting near complete tear. Additional adenopathy is present involving the conjoined and distal supraspinatus tendon Fluid is present involving the region of the ac joint suggesting surgery and along subteloid plane. do i need another surgery?

My mother has been suffering from joints problem. She suffers from severe pain in her knees and since 3 to 4 years has abandoned walking completely because it gets difficult for her to breath. After doing an Echo test the doctor prescribed some medicines that sadly didn’t work. My question is, should we change the medicines and what changes can we make in her diet? Is all of this because of overweight?

I have started taking medication,50mcg Synthroid for my thyroid. The tests prior to taking medication indicated high TSH level starting at 4.5-5.2. There were no antibodies found. I want to have children, and I am worried about the effects on pregnancy due to this problem. 8 weeks and my TSH levels went down to 0.06 and FT4 to 1.8. Than my doctor decreased the medication to 25mcg and my tests showed 0.01 TSH and FT4 down to 1.5. I am very confused. please help

I was diagnosed with hypthyroidism after the birth of my second child and have been on Synthroid 112 mcg for 6 years. I have read that 80% of postpartum thyroiditis is temporary. Is there any way to differentiate between postpartum thyroiditis and other forms of tyroid?

I have a cluster head ache for the past five years. I feel severe pain behind my eye, which normally ends with vomiting. This happens for three to four days at a time. I do not want to undergo any surgery immediately. Hence, kindly advise me medications to reduce the pain. I am a nursing mother.
